Megan Gale
Gale, then 18, won a Perth model competition in her early teens. After several years of modelling, Gale rose to fame when she was commissioned in 1999 to be featured in a number of adverts for the Italian telecommunications company, Omnitel (now Vodafone Italy) which she starred in advertisements of the company until 2006.She was also hired by the Australian Tourist Commission in 2003 as 'their face of Australia in Italy'. Gale has appeared on the cover of Australian Marie Claire, Grazia, Gioia, Italian and Australian GQ, Italian Maxim, Australian InStyle and featured in the editorials for Australian Cosmopolitan and Vogue Italia. Gale has collaborated with Italian designers, such as Gianfranco Fere, Genny And Gai Mattiolo and also on the runways of Mariella Burani, Angelo Marani, and Milan Fashion Week. Gale favors many Australian fashion designers like Colette Dinnigan as well as Kirrily. Johnston. Willow, Alex Perry, Willow, Willow, Willow, Willow, Willow, Willow, etc. As of 2006, Gale served as moderator of the Australian television awards known as the Logies. In January 2008, Gale announced her retirement from runway modeling after 15 years. She walked on the catwalk one last moment a few days later in an David Jones winter collection launch in Sydney. The model wore the Wonder Woman costume she had been planning to wear for film Justice League of America film, which was still in development. Gale was the last to leave Alex Perry's Melbourne Fashion Festival 2011 show in March 2011.
